The British government has spent £14,000 producing a sex guide for pensioners.
The manual - which outlines the benefits of having sex and best ways of safely going about it in the latter stages of life - will be distributed free to pensioners in the borough of Medway in the south east England.
Inside 'Ageing Well In Medway' elderly people can find out about using Viagra and the need for safe sex. They are also told: "It's never too late to experiment".
Pensioner Ivy Thomas, 79, a widow, is outraged at the booklet.
She said: "In my day we never spoke of these things and there's no way I'm going to start now."
