Twilight: New Moon star Kristen Stewart has admitted she doesn’t want to be “a movie star like Angelina Jolie”, and thinks fame makes you lead “a sad, desolate life”.
Stewart has been a mainstay of the media since her appearance in the first Twilight movie, and with the hype building up for the release of New Moon this month she is currently one of the most recognised actresses on the planet.
However, she explained: "I don't want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie. . . . I'm an actor.
“It's bizarre to me that everybody's so obsessive."
Stewart isn’t seen out and about much, with rumours swirling over her about a relationship with Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson.
The pair have repeatedly denied that they’re having a romance, but with the pair both being infamously reclusive the gossip has carried on regardless.
Recently Stewart admitted: "The only way for me not to have somebody know where I went the night before is if I didn't go out at all. So that's what I'm trading."
She also said: "Edward is actually a really good parallel for fame. As a vampire, he has a sad, desolate life - fame is the same."
At least the upside of not going to many glitzy Hollywood showbiz bashes is that Stewart doesn’t need to think much about what to wear.
She said: "Fashion is not something I think about. I'm not a big shopper. My style is T-shirts. My favorite ones are my brother's old worn-out ones. I get my shoes on eBay."
