Jennifer Ellison has married partner Rob Tickle away from family and friends in a secret ceremony in Mauritius.
The former Brookside actress decided on a small, intimate wedding after the couple’s big wedding was put on hold in August due to work commitments.
Shortly after this postponement, Jennifer found out she was expecting a baby and the couple decided it was important to be married before having children.
Ellison told OK! Magazine: "One of the biggest things playing on my mind is not telling my mum, because we're so close.
"But when we were planning the wedding in August there was so much stress and she was like 'Why don't you just run away and get married?'
"When she said that, I didn't feel as guilty."
The 26-year-old West End star, who is now six months pregnant, looked glowing on her big day, wearing a strapless Jenny Packham dress which was accessorised with a jewelled empire waist and cream Christian Louboutin heels.
After tying the knot under an arch of flowers, the newlyweds called home to tell their parents about the good news.
Ellison told the magazine: "They're over the moon, they're dead happy - it's such a relief! Telling our families has made it all the more special because of their reaction. I've loved every minute."
