Robert Pattinson has become “jailed” to his hotel room while filming the move Eclipse, according to one of his co-stars.

Apparently the actor – on of the major stars of the Twilight movies – has had to lock himself away in his room because of the huge interest he receives.

Pattinson’s co-star, Jack Huston - who plays Royce King II, a human who lived during the Great Depression and was engaged to Rosalie - told OK magazine: “I don't think he gets to hang out with many people because he's sort of jailed to his room.

"He can't leave without being followed by a hundred people. There's a price to fame. But hopefully he's handling it okay."

Robert Pattinson receives a huge amount of attention from both fans and the press, despite admitting he is uncomfortable with the interest.

In June, the actor – who is rumoured to be dating his Twilight co-star Kristin Stewart – narrowly missed being knocked down by a taxi after trying to escape over-excited fans.
