Briton's regularly avoid sex by pretending they are too tired.
A survey to discover the top excuses for avoiding bedroom activities has named fatigue as the most popular reason.
The poll of 4,000 adults also revealed 20 per cent of Brits make-up excuses to avoid making love on a regular basis.
Seven out of ten participants claimed they were often too tired and 40 per cent said the recession was having a negative affect on their sex lives.
A spokesman for www.OnePoll.com said: "The humble headache has had its day as far as excuses are concerned.
