Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have never confirmed they are dating despite constant speculation. According to Ok this is because the pair have been told to keep their romance quiet.
Show bosses fear that if their relationship was revealed, it could potentially jeopardise next Twilight movie, New Moon, where Stewart’s character Bella falls for a werewolf. They think it would make the storyline less believable if viewers know her heart really lies with Pattinson.
A source told Ok: "The producers took Rob and Kris aside and told them to keep their relationship under wraps for a few more months. But they're so much in love, they can't keep their hands off each other."
The Twilight Eclipse insider added: "They're crazy about each other and want to shout it from the rooftops. But they're also part of this massive machine called Twilight and producers have this thing timed with scientific precision.
"They don't want Rob and Kristen to tell the world about their relationship until the time is right."
According to another source though, Pattinson may be about to defy show bosses wishes.
"He generally does what he's told by producers," they explained. "But this kid has a strong will of his own, and if he wants to walk around Vancouver with Kirsten in front of the world, he's going to."
Will the pair walk hand in hand down the red carpet at the MTV VMA’s this Sunday? We won’t hold our breath.
