Kerry Katona’s former PR guru, Max Clifford, has said the star will die if she doesn’t get help for her alleged cocaine problem, Digital Spy reports.
Clifford - who was sacked by the reality TV star and former singer in 2008 - said he has serious fears about her lifestyle following the latest allegations about the star taking cocaine.
On Sunday, a tape was released which appears to show Kerry snorting a white powder at her home in Cheshire.
Shortly after the release of the footage, Kerry lost her lucrative advertising contract with Iceland.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Clifford said: "Kerry was always a great mum. I know that from the time I spent with her. But how can she carry on being a good mum if she's out of her head on coke? She needs to face reality. She clearly needs help.
He added: "She was in The Priory for a while but it's time for her to sort her problems out once and for all. It's very sad because with every year that goes by she gets closer and closer to a very tragic end."
But friends have hit back at him, saying he knows nothing about the star.
One told the paper: “He (Clifford) has not seen or spoken to her for a year. He knows nothing about her and therefore anything he says has no basis in reality."
The PR expert forged a strong friendship with Kerry during the four years he worked for the star.
But they fell out after he told a magazine he was “worried” about her, following an interview on This Morning during which she slurred her words.
