Max Clifford has criticised Mark Croft for ruining wife Kerry Katona’s public image.
The couple have split several times, and publicist Clifford fears she will struggle to regain any sort of public support if she reconciles with him, as reported over the weekend.
Max told Heat magazine: "People want her to be the Kerry that they fell in love with, but that's never going to happen while she's with Mark," he told Heat.
"Kerry desperately needs someone who understands her, who she can trust and who has her best interests at heart."
Kerry fired Max as her publicist in October, after he said he was “worried” about her health.
They had previously enjoyed a close friendship.
