Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Prince William cheered Andy Murray on to Olympic success today, as the Scottish tennis star made his way through to the London 2012 semi-finals.
The Royal couple cheered, clapped and showed off their fun sides as they took part in a Mexican Wave, as they watched the tennis star work his magic on court.
And it worked, as Andy secured his place in tomorrow’s semi-fianl after a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Spain’s Nicolas Almagro.
The Royal couple looked striking as they attended the tense match at Wimbledon, with both wearing perfectly coordinated outfits.
Kate wore an electric blue Stella McCartney dress costing £515, which she teamed up with her navy Smythe blazer. Both pieces have been previously worn during the Games, with the dress worn to a recent Olympis exhibition, while the Duchess has been spotted sporting the navy blazer - her new wardrobe staple - several times in recent days. She doesn't have the nickname 'the thrifty Duchess' for nothing!
Kate was groomed to perfection as ever, with perfect makeup complete with a smoky-eyed look that gave her a polished finish. Her hair was styled in loose waves, and she wore simple jewellery including stud earrings, perfectly complementing her classic look.
Wills meanwhile looked handsome in a white shirt and black blazer, finished off with a pair of sunglasses.
Kim Sears – Andy’s long-term partner – was also in the stands to cheer on the tennis pro. Kim’s classic style and fashion sense has been compared to Kate’s several times in the past, and didn’t disappoint today.
This is just Duchess Kate and Prince William’s latest Olympic outing. As official ambassadors for the London Games, the Royals have been a constant presence since the Olympics opening ceremony on Friday last week (July 27).
Since then they’ve been spotted cheering William’s cousin Zara Phillips and her team mates to silver in the eventing competition and meeting and greeting some of the other Olympic competitors.
Kate's next appearance is expected to be on Friday August 3, watching the swimming at Olympic Park, while William will catch the equestrian dressage tomorrow, before joining Kate at the swimming.
