The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge delighted commuters at Nottingham train station this morning as they turned up to meet the Queen for the latest leg of the Diamond Jubilee Tour.

As they waited for the Queen to arrive on the Royal Train, Kate and William chatted to excited passengers and onlookers who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the royals in all their glory.

And once again, Kate, or Catherine as she is officially known, proved she truly is the queen of style.

Well-wishers gasped as she waved and flashed her beaming smile, dressed in a beautiful blue tweed coat by Missoni - the one she previously wore for a trip to Fortnum & Mason back in March.

With her hair in a half up / half down style, which is fast becoming her favourite look at the moment, Kate completed her outfit with a chic navy cocktail hat by Rachel Trevor Morgan and navy court shoes, giving her much-loved nude LK Bennetts a rest!

Carrying a black quilted clutch bag, believed to be Chanel, it was the perfect look to compliment the Queen’s striking turquoise coat and hat.

Far from being tired from last weekend’s mammoth Jubilee celebrations, the Royal Family looked refreshed, relaxed and happy, with the Queen taking great delight in accepting flowers and meeting local school children, who had headed to the station for the extra special visit.

While the Duke of Edinburgh remains at home, recovering from his bladder infection, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Queen are set to meet civic dignitaries in the Council House, before attending a ballroom reception and visiting Vernon Park in Basford.

Nottingham City Council leader Jon Collins told the Daily Mail: “As the capital of the East Midlands, it’s great Nottingham’s playing host to this royal visit.

“I'm sure that local people will give the royal party a warm welcome and will be excited about getting the chance to also see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.”
