Queen’s Diamond Jubilee: video highlights of events so far

It may have been rather cold and wet this weekend but the weather has done little to dampen the spirits of those celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Fresh from enjoying the Epson Races on Saturday, Prince Phillip, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry joined the Queen on the Royal Barge, the Spirit of Chartwell, to take part in the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant. Watch them all board the boat here.

The Royal Barge led 1000 boats from all over the world down the river, as thousands of well-wishers lined the riverbank, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Royal Family and soak up the celebratory atmosphere of the day. Take a look at spectacular flotilla here.

The Big Jubilee Lunch also took place on Sunday, where families, friends and neighbours up and down the country organised street parties and picnic lunches to celebrate the Queen’s 60-year reign.

Prince Charles and Camilla took time out to pop past a gathering in Piccadilly, much to the delight of those settling down to enjoy a cucumber sandwich or two. Take a look at the moment here.

For those who couldn’t get close to the river, there was a festival atmosphere in Hyde Park, where the Thames Pageant was aired on large screens. Can you spot yourself in the crowd?

As the Royal Barge reached its final destination, the Queen and the Royal Family waved at the crowds, as they received an incredible welcome cheer. Watch here.

Today, the nation is gearing up for the Diamond Jubilee Concert, which is taking place outside Buckingham Palace from 7.30 tonight, with performances from a host of the biggest acts in the world including Sir Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Kylie Minogue, Sir Paul McCartney, Jessie J, JLS and Ed Sheeran. The event was organised by Gary Barlow and promises to be one of the highlights of the Jubilee celebrations.

When it is all over, the Queen will light the National Beacon, before a network of 4000 Beacons are then lit throughout the country.

Tomorrow, celebrations will come to a close with the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, before a Carriage Procession takes the Royal Family back to Buckingham Palace, where they will appear on the iconic balcony to watch an RAF Flypast.

We will be bringing you more video, news and gossip from the Jubilee celebrations throughout today and tomorrow at stv.tv/jubilee.
