Strong pair: Kate and William
Kate Middleton – who married Prince William and became the Duchess of Cambridge – is reported to have fallen out with her mother-in-law. American gossip magazines are telling of a palace bust-up.
They tell that Kate has become fed up with the Duchess of Cornwall “badmouthing” her.
The American Globe magazine said the Duchess had an “angry palace shouting match” with Kate coming out on top.
Elsewhere a campaign to see Kate gracing the cover of US Vogue is unlikely to suit her mother-in-law either.
Vogue editor Anna Wintour desperately wants the beautiful new duchess on the front of her magazine.
She is begging photographer to the royals Mario Testino to set something up.
An insider told the Globe: “Anna has been speaking to Mario about winning over Kate. She is really pressing him to shoot Kate for the cover.
“Every magazine has been trying to get Kate, and many assume it will eventually be Vogue. But even with the Mario Testino relationship, it is not clear when this will happen. The Palace must approve it, and they are very protective of Kate.”
Anna Wintour is very impressed by Kate and says There’s nothing trashy or vulgar about her”.
