Top comic Fred MacAulay is taking his new comedy show out on the road in aid of the STV Appeal 2012 and now you can join him for a laugh along the way.
Fred is already walking the West Highland Way in aid of the Appeal which supports children living in poverty in Scotland. But at the end of each day, he has decided to step off the Way and into local licensed premises for a little light refreshment and to try out new material for his forthcoming Fringe show, Legally Bald 2.
Other walkers and lucky locals will find Fred at some venues which are well off the usual comedy circuit later this month:
Mon 16th July, 8pm - The Winnock Hotel, Drymen
Tues 17th July, 8pm - The Rowardennan Hotel, Rowardennan
Wed 18th July,8pm - The Drover's Inn, Inverarnan
Thurs 19th July, 9pm - The Bridge of Orchy Hotel, Bridge of Orchy
Fri 20th July, 9pm - The Tailrace Inn, Kinlochleven
Fred MacAulay: Legally Bald was a big success at last year's Fringe so Fred says "there was no option but to return with Legally Bald 2" which he promises will be "longer, funnier more topical and less hirsute". But like all comics, the opportunity to try out new material is very important. And the intimacy of the venues will ensure a good crowd.
But to walk more than 20 miles over the bens and glens of the West Highlands before a gig is certainly unusual preparation. As Fred says in our video above, filmed at sponsor's Tunnock's, "It's going to be an opportunty to test out my 2012 Fringe show and also whatever I have encountered that day that's made me laugh, I'll be bringing that into the show that night."
Fred will be joined by other celebrities along the way including Pat Kane of Hue and Cry and no less than two Miss Scotland's. You can support all of them at their Just Giving Pages.
