35-year-old American actor Peter Facinelli plays Dr Carlise Cullen, Edward, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice, and Jasper's adoptive father.
Best known as the star of cop TV series Fastlane he made his feature film debut in Rebecca Miller’s Angela in 1995.
Other film credits include 1998 high school comedies Dance, Texas Pop 81 and Can’t Hardly Wait.
Facinelli also appeared alongside Kevin Spacey in sci-fi movie Supernova and with Christian Slater in straight to video release Hollow Man 2.
He also appeared in 2008 comedy Finding Amanda alongside Matthew Broderick and Brittany Snow.
Married with three children, the actor had a recurring role in quirky TV drama Six Feet Under and also stars in Glenn Close/Ted Danson legal eagle TV series Damages, as well as co-starring as Dr. Fitch Cooper in the Showtime dark comedy series Nurse Jackie.
