Controversial American Idol star Adam Lambert may feature on the soundtrack for Twilight: New Moon follow-up Eclipse - well, if he gets his way, at least.
Lambert wrote Suburban Decay for debut album For Your Entertainment, but it didn’t feature in the final track-listing and now could be used for the third movie in the vampire saga.
The pop star explained to MTV News: "It just didn't quite fit. It's very theatrical... It's very campy, and it was just a bit too campy for the album as a big picture.
"It's a great song and I hope to perform it someday, and I think it will find a home, on a soundtrack or something... maybe Twilight."
He added: "Hey, Eclipse... Want my song? It's kind of about vampires.... [It has the lyric], 'With our bloodlust sated, we thrive on suburban decay'."
Lambert raised eyebrows at Sunday’s American Music Awards after passionately kissing the male keyboardist during a racy performance.
Good Morning America swiftly cancelled his TV slot - but the American Idol finalist was quickly picked up by other media outlets.
