Robert Pattinson has called himself a “prat” for the way he acted when he appeared in the Harry Potter movies.
The actor – who now stars as vampire Edward Cullen in the massively popular Twilight movies – said he feels he should have got himself more involved with the other cast members while on set.
He told OK! magazine: "I was a real prat for the first month. I didn't talk to anyone. I just drank coffee and told everyone I was 24 and this famous theatrical actor just back from South Africa.
I kind of blew it after the Potter films. There was a chance for me to really kick on and use the exposure, but I didn't really want to do anything."
Rpat is notoriously shy, and often speaks out about how uncomfortable the massive interest in him since hitting the big time with the vampire movies makes him.
But he said that there were some advantages to the way he behaved on the Harry Potter set – and that keeping to himself helped his career in some ways.
He continued: "I was able to teach myself how to act, for a start. I could have done some more teen movies, but I thought what was the point? I'm not all that fussed by making loads of money."
