New Moon star Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan, was interviewed by STV movie guru Grant Lauchlan as the world eagerly awaited the release of the second film in the Twilight saga.
Kristen starred in summer movie Adventureland, and has had a rich and varied career since starring as Jodie Foster’s daughter in 2002 movie Panic Room - though she explained that nothing’s come close to the attention she’s received in the Twilight saga.
When asked how the attention has been, Kristen admitted: “It’s been a little nutsy. Thankfully we’ve been so busy working. We’ve finished New Moon and Eclipse in the same year, and most of the cast have done a movie in between.
“You never start a movie because you think it’s going to be the popular thing, and you think you’re going to be cool because of it. You make movies because you care about people, and you like to know yourself more.”
She added: “The fact that we can share something so personally with so many people is a first for me. I mean I usually do tiny little movies that nobody cares about, so this is pretty incredible.”
Kristen also talked to Grant about a number of other subjects, including why she doesn’t necessarily envy her character Bella - plus answers questions from STV visitors. Was your question included?
Oh, and it also turns out she’s not too sure - out of co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner - which one’s Mr Torso, and which one’s Mr Smouldering...
