Update: T in the Park 2012 weather forecast with Sean Batty

As weather wonder Sean Batty said yesterday, the weather in Scotland is forever changing and as we all stock up on baby wipes and dry shampoo for this weekend’s music spectacular that is T in the Park, there is slightly better news with regards to the rain factor – well, for Friday at least.

Friday looked set to be the worst day for the festival but although Sean says there will still be downpours, it won’t be quite as heavy as first thought.

The heavens are saving those downpours for Saturday. Oh joy!

Friday will see a mixture of bright spells with a scattering of showers, so it might not be too bad after all as you Shake It Out with big Florence or Run to catch Snow Patrol – ah the puns are almost as amusing as the weather today.

Saturday – Sean reckons we will see quite heavy rain turning T into a mudfest. Note to goers, it’s really not a good idea to role around in that mud, as tempting as it may look. No really, it’s not.

On Sunday, well we might just be treated to a splattering of showers and for those of you looking forward to that final night of madness in the campsite, singing Kasabian songs round the campfire, forget it. For now, Sean’s predicting more persistent rain.

But pah – rain shmain (I know that’s not a word) - there’s no way it’s going to dampen our spirits.

The countdown is on, the wellies are packed, we’re coming to terms with the fact denim cut-offs are just not going to cut it this year and we’re raring to go as we head to T tomorrow night to ensure we get the best spot to pitch our tent in the wonderful fields of Balado.

Sean (complete with another dashing fitted t-shirt from that fancy shop that you can’t see a blooming thing in) will be back tomorrow with yet another weather update, so there’s still hope that a little ray of sunshine will come shining through.

Till tomorrow… one more sleep T-ers!
