T in the Park has announced the addition of more breakthrough acts for the festival’s 20th year celebrations.
Local Natives, Lucy Rose, Swim Deep, Theme Park, Lewis Watson and Sons & Lovers are heading to Kinross over July 12 to 14.
Mumford & Sons, Rihanna and The Killers are already set to headline the festival, with others appearing including Kraftwerk, Frank Ocean, Snoop Dogg, Beady Eye, Foals, alt-J, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Courteeners, Jake Bugg and The Lumineers.
LA indie rock outfit Local Natives’ second album Hummingbird – produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner – is tipped to take them to new levels after they performed at highly vaunted music showcase SXSW this year.
Nu-folk singer Lucy Rose’s debut album Like I Used To was well received when it was released last September, and we gave a strong review of Lucy when she appeared at RockNess last year.
Birmingham four-piece Swim Deep also performed at SXSW this year with their sun-kissed indie pop anthems, while London-based ply their trade in indie-dance.
The debut EP from Oxford singer-songwriter Lewis Watson It’s Got Four Sad Songs On It BTW topped the iTunes singer-songwriter chart on its first day of release, outselling the likes of Adele, Madonna and Ed Sheeran in the process. Meanwhile London four-piece Sons & Lovers kicked off the year with a four-week residency at Club NME.
