As the crowds flock to T in the Park this weekend, STV’s weatherman Seán Batty predicts sunshine and showers for the annual rock and pop festival.
That means festival-goers should bring plenty of sunscreen, but also ponchos and wellies as spells of sunshine are likely to be punctuated by heavy showers.
Into the evening things will be a bit drier with the best weather on Sunday as My Chemical Romance, Pulp and the Foo Fighters take to the main stage.
Seán said: “T in the Park this year is looking rather showery. Most of the showers will be during the day, while by night it should be mainly dry for those camping.
“The showers will be slow moving and heavy, which means they could last quite some time and make things rather wet. The wettest day looks like being Friday when the showers could be fairly prolonged and heavy, while by Saturday the showers will be a bit more scattered. On Sunday it's still a case of sunshine and showers although hopefully by this time the showers will be lighter.
“At this time of year the sun, of course, is still very strong meaning that when it comes out it will feel warm.
“So this weekend if you're heading off to Balado then it looks like you'll need the suncream and also the wellies.”
