Pressure steps towards the age of adulthood as it hits its thirteenth year. The Glasgow institution will enjoy this benchmark coming-of-age moment with all those present at the Arches in Glasgow on 25th November. Thankfully the backing of a powerhouse line-up will send it off into the world with remarkable force. No nervous teenage wallflowers here but a night packed with innovators and sound masters from across Europe.

Riding the Flashmob wave with his subtle, between-boundaries electronic indulgence, Vitalic promises to deliver a live set packed with innovation; twisting and tweaking the crowd to pump out subtle and inventive sounds, well suited to the labyrinthine Scottish venue.

Continuing the live theme will be The Black Dog, who fresh from having released new album Liber Dogma on Soma records on 31st October will manipulate their own sounds and production to show just why they are still making fantastic new material. Their intense and focused soundscaping will provide the perfect counterpoint to Vitalic’s more chaotic live output. Two of the three members of the Sheffield trio will work vibrant new sounds to a frenzied pitch in Glasgow.

An imposing German contingent is made up of Chris Liebing and Sebo K who will expose yet another facet of Dance music with their trademark sounds and vastly experienced, perfected performance styles. Sebo K, will as always enliven the crowd, and storms into the Arches off the back of the November 14th release of his remix of Slam’s ‘Eterna’, providing a timely convergence at the Slam hosted event.

Acclaimed DJ, Producer and CLR label owner Chris Liebing will bring yet more quality to the packed line up. His benchmark deep and immersive techno will leave no one untouched as he brings his wealth of knowledge and passion to the fore.

DJ hero and owner of the much praised Rekids imprint, Radio Slave steps back into town to woo the Pressure crowds. Joining Sebo K in the remixes of Slam’s ‘Eterna’ track, Radio Slave turns in two outstanding mixes of the first ever release on Soma Records (Slam’s Glaswegian label).

At times willingly obtuse and experimental in his sound is techno legend Surgeon. Of key importance to the upsurge of UK Techno in the mid-90s, his eclectic leanings, filtered through hard techno, informed what has been retrospectively entitled the ‘Birmingham sound’. He follows on the heels of fellow British Murder Boys cohort and partner in developing the Birmingham sound, Regis who was in Glasgow for a heady set over the summer.

Firmly rooted at the heart of the Glasgow scene the Animal Farm collective have been organising and hosting some of the most innovative and exciting nights in Glasgow for some time as well as blasting the digital waves with their weekly Subcity radio show. Expect fireworks and hometown fervour from this rising act.

As always Pressure is hosted by the timeless Slam and this particularly important night, founded by the legendary duo shows that the dawning of bright futures and exciting opportunities is the prize for hitting your teenage years.
