Pete Doherty has vowed to reform The Libertines.
The rocker admitted he is desperate to reunite with his former band - as well as write more solo material and another album with his current band Babyshambles - and will do whatever it takes to convince former co-singer Carl Barat to join him.
He said: "I've written and recorded a solo record. There's probably another on the way, there's an amazing 'Shambles record on the way, and The Libertines is gonna happen in the next couple of years, by hook or by crook.
"I don't twist Carl's arm too far. He doesn't take kindly to it. He's not harder than me, but he's got a nasty streak, twist it too far and it'll snap."
Pete picked up the award for Best Solo Artist at the Shockwaves NME Awards earlier this week.
The Libertines split up in 2004 amid conflicts over Pete's battle with drug addiction.
