Damon Albarn will reform Gorillaz.
The singer's side project have not released new material since 2006 as the former Blur star and co-creator Jamie Hewlett have been working on their opera 'Monkey Journey To The West', but his manager has promised that the animated group will record again.
When asked if he will return to either Blur or Gorillaz, Damon's manager Chris Morisson revealed: "He could well go back to it, there is an intention to - on Gorillaz at least."
However, Chris refused to be drawn on any of Damon's other plans, saying only: "Damon tends to start a number of things and one will catch his interest and he'll develop it and then that becomes real, so I don't want to pre-empt anything before it becomes real."
'Monkey Journey To The West' is on at London's O2 centre from 8 November until 5 December.
