Steps have admitted they are back in the music business for the long haul after a Stomping set in Scotland.
The popstars revealed retirement is the Last Thing on Their Minds in a chat with STV ahead of the gig with Peter Andre at Hamilton Park Racecourse.
And the five-piece were in good spirits joking about Scotland’s loud fans, Claire Richards’ love for Fifty Shades of Grey and of course Mr Andre.
Following reports about Claire’s crush on the Aussie songster in the 90s, her bandmates were not shy about teasing the married mum with Ian ‘H’ Watkins laughing: “Pete’s wires were hanging out the back of his jacket and I went to Pete, your wires are hanging out, and he said Claire will tuck them back in.”
He later joked: "Claire gave us a little rendition of Fifty Shades of Grey over dinner."
After a sell-out 22 date reunion tour and a busy summer of shows, Steps answered the one question on everyone's lips - are they staying together?
Lee Latchford-Evans explained: “It’s difficult to say forever but we’re definitely in it for as long as we can be and as long as the fans want us to be around really.
"It’s just a really different ball game nowadays. You know there was no internet really back then and now there's iTunes, Myspace, Twitter and Facebook and everything like that.
"So it’s learning how to be involved in the industry now in a very different way and meeting all the new producers and writers that have come on board now. We’re in it for the longrun so we’ll just see where we go."
