After a year of special releases and remixes, the Glasgow-based label is holding a special exhibition of artwork for the finale of its 20th anniversary celebrations.
On June 1 to 4, after a year of special releases and remixes, the anniversary is coming to an end and Soma Records is holding an exhibition to display artwork of themed releases.
The event is taking place at Repositioned Gallery at Argyle street, Glasgow, with extremely limited art prints available to buy over the weekend event ((20 of each, hand signed & numbered, also soon to be online on the Soma shop).
Following an invite-only party from 6pm onwards on Friday June 1, there will be a public viewing on the Saturday.
Sunday sees Mini Soma Skool taking place from 2pm 5pm, where Graeme Reedie (Silicone Soul) and Harvey McKay will present electronic music software demonstrations, showing how they put tracks together with a Q&A after each presentation.
Soma's graphic designer, Niall Smillie (Fourtwentyseven Design), will also demonstrate how he puts together artwork and sleeve designs for Soma releases. Numbers are strictly limited for the Soma Skool event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to register (minimum age is 16).
