Speaking before a special show at Cottiers in Glasgow (watch the first part of our interview here), Kyle Falconer and Kieren Webster discussed their special appearances at this summer’s RockNess and Wickerman festivals.
Kieren said: “Seemingly we’re getting to light the Wickerman at Wickerman, so that’ll be good.
“And RockNess will be good as well, because that lands on Kyle’s birthday weekend. It could be a cruel twist of fate, but it’ll be alright.”
Laughing, Kyle added: “We did that once we finished our second album. It was my birthday and we continued on – we never went to sleep, it was like a three-dayer or something.
“Our producer was playing for us, Owen Morris, and he was t***ed man. It ended up during the day I was a write-off, but it was my birthday, so the birthday angel just carried us – it ended up being a pure great gig.
“I canna really remember it, but it was great, man.”
He continued about Rockness: “It’s good just being there, because we’ve actually been there a couple of years, just coming as punters. It’s a dead good vibe, everybody’s happy, and it’s really Scottish.”
The pair also told us about some of the favourite bands that they’ve seen at RockNess – and which songs from upcoming new album Cheeky For A Reason they’re looking forward to performing live.
