The 20-year-old is playing her biggest headline Scottish show to date at the Oran Mor in Glasgow tomorrow evening, with support from Beerjacket and Randolph’s Leap.
Eggshells is released on May 14th on Rachel’s own Middle of Nowhere Recordings as a limited edition joint 7” and CD gatefold.
Written by Rachel and produced by Ian Grimble, Eggshells marks the next stage in the journey for the talented instrumentalist, who we filmed performing her track Breathe Easy before her headline Celtic Connections performance in January.
Rachel launched debut EP Black Currents at the beginning of the year and garnered support across BBC Radio – from sessions for R1 Introducing to R2’s Dermot O’leary – as well as topping the Coalition Singles Chart for two weeks.
Coming from Carrbridge, at the beginning of the year she also started recording for her debut album in the Highlands.
Next she plays at a host of festivals over the summer, including The Insider Festival in Aviemore in July, and Belladrum in August.
