Cheryl Cole’s new single, Call My Name, had its radio debut this morning and it seems fans are loving the star’s new sound.
Gary Barlow – a man who knows a thing or two about a good tune – Tweeted: “Congrats on the new single.Sounds fab x”
Rochelle from The Saturdays wrote: “Just been in my car caught @CherylCole new track on the radio, ohhh what a big tune! Stuck in my head :)”
And she’s right – it is rather catchy. Have a listen.
The single was produced by Scottish DJ Calvin Harris and it has summer dance floor anthem written all over it.
Cheryl was nervous about letting fans here the hotly anticipated track, Tweeting: “I have butterflies!”
But it seems the overwhelming response has been positive, as after the play she wrote: “Oh my god .. There's a RAVE on my timeline and it's only 8.30AM !! LMAO Legggooooooo #CallMyName Love you !”
Call My Name will be available from June 10, with her third album, A Million Lights, released on June 18.
Manager Will.i.am believes the record is going to be huge, recently telling the Daily Star: “I can't give too much away but Cheryl's album is going to be big. Like Michael Jackson she is a complete perfectionist. Unless she is 100% happy with something she just won’t put it out there.
"She has got some of the biggest artists and producers in the industry to work with her, not just because she is talented but because everybody who meets her loves her."
