One Direction fever continues to sweep Australia, but the lads are annoyed that they haven’t been able to meet and greet as many fans as they would like.
Ahead of their Hisense Arena show last night, Zayn Malik said: “There's been a lot of security issues. We haven't been able to see the fans as much as we would have liked to.
“That's what we do: we like to go see fans when they're outside. That's been frustrating, but we do it for their safety, their security. We don't want anyone to get hurt.”
Thousands of screaming teens have been following the band wherever they go, making it virtually impossible for Zyan, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne to leave their hotel rooms.
Some parents have even paid a fortune for their young girls to check into the hotels where the boys are believed to be staying, just so they can get close to the Brit stars.
Last night, fans had a fan-tastic time at the Hisense show, as girls screamed at ear-piercing levels throughout the band’s set.
They descended on the arena to pledge their love for 1D in an array of bizarre and creative home-made outfits, with romantic declarations painted on their faces.
One ultra-keen fan, Hannah from Balwyn, ever sported a wedding dress with a sash begging ‘marry me.’
