A new three-day music festival is coming to Kilmarnock this June, with headliners including Bombskare, The Lafontaines and We Were Promised Jetpacks.
Taking place from June 1 to 3, the festival will be hosted by two separate venues, Bakers and Dirty Martinis.
Headlining the Friday night are ska-rockers, Bombskare, while Saturday evening sees the return of The Lafontaines fresh from their UK tour. Sunday sees We Were Promised Jetpacks – who this weekend played US festival Coachella – top the bill.
In the acoustic venue headliners include Brown Bear & The Bandits, who recently scooped Best Acoustic at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards. They will be joined from Jon Windle (Little Man Tate), Tom Hingley (The Inspirial Carpets) and Rod Jones (Idlewild) over the course of the weekend.
Festival organiser, David Hanvey said: “Recent months have shown that Kilmarnock has the appetite to be entertained by a diverse bill of original talent, and I'm personally excited to be a part of bringing this diverse line up to Kilmarnock.”
Fellow organiser Richy Muirhead added “It will be great to bring such a diverse array of acts to Kilmarnock for the weekend, being from Kilmarnock myself I personally think this is a great opportunity for locals to discover new music on their doorstep.”
Other acts for the bill include The Hostiles, Root System, XAVIA, Carnivores, A Fight You Can't Win, Athos, Johnny Graham, This Silent Forest, Suspire (acoustic), The Fear, Strange Empire,Matthew Scott, Mike Nisbet, The Sneaky Russians, Shambles Miller, Robbie MacInnes, Matt Norris & The Moon and more to be announced.
