Scottish singer Emeli Sandé, who is currently top of the UK album chart, talked to STV about appearing at T in the Park 2012 alongside The Stone Roses, Snow Patrol and Kasabian – while T organiser Geoff Ellis told us about why he had to have Emeli on the bill.
T in the Park this morning announced its line-up for T in the Park 2012 – and as well as the headliners mentioned above there were some prominent Scottish acts on the list, including Emeli, Calvin Harris and Twin Atlantic.
While in Aberdeen to promote her album Our Version of Events, Emeli told us: “We’ve got a few shows coming up over the summer – and we’re doing T in the Park, and that’s going to be good fun, I can’t wait.”
T in the Park organiser also explained to us about his delight at having Emeli on the bill.
He said: “She’s a fantastic artist, and she’s only going to get bigger. She’s a really talented songwriter, she’s written songs for other people as well as well as her own album.
“It’s great that she’s from Scotland, and that she’s playing Scotland’s biggest festival. It just feels right really.”
