T in the Park has this morning announced its line-up for this summer’s blockbuster Scottish music festival, with artists announced including Snow Patrol, Kasabian, Emeli Sandé and Calvin Harris as well as the previously announced Florence + The Machine and The Stone Roses.
Also on the bill are Swedish House Mafia, Example, Skrillex, Happy Mondays, Jessie J, New Order and Rizzle Kicks. Others include David Guetta, Twin Atlantic, Mastodon, Major Lazer, The Darkness, Elbow and Tinie Tempah.
The final batch of tickets go on general sale at 9am on Wednesday 29th February from www.ticketmaster.co.uk and by calling 08444 999 990.
T in the Park organiser Geoff Ellis told STV: “We’ve got The Stone Roses, who are the biggest band on the planet right now, which is fantastic.
“Snow Patrol obviously, which is a big festival favourite. And we’ve got Kasabian, a T in the Park favourite, they’re the three headliners.
“We’ve then got Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Florence + The Machine, Skrillex, Jessie J, Example, Chase and Status, The Vaccines, Emeli Sandé who’s going to have a fantastic year, and Rizzle Kicks.”
He added: “It’s a very diverse line-up, and we’re very pleased with it. There’s quite a few more acts to be announced over the next few weeks and months.
“If you look at the ticket price and number of bands, it works out at something like 89p per band that you can see, which is the equivalent to what you pay on iTunes to download a track – and a festival is the live equivalent of an iTunes playlist.”
