The BRIT Awards 2012 went by in a Blur (pardon the pun), as London's O2 arena played host to some of the world’s top musicians and fabulous famous faces.
Coldplay kicked off the event in spectacular style with a paint splattered performance of new single Charlie Brown, while Bruno Mars, Olly Murs, Noel Gallagher and raunchy Rihanna also kept the nation entertained.
One of the standout performances of the night came from Adele, who was queen of the night as she scooped two awards – British Female Solo Artist and the coveted Mastercard British Album of the Year.
Not to be outdone, everybody’s favourite ginger singer (well, alongside Florence) Ed Sheeran also won two awards – British Breakthrough Act and British Male Solo Artist.
James Corden was the perfect host as ever, as he was faced with the daunting task of cutting Adele off in her prime, to make way for Outstanding Contribution winners Blur’s epic grand finale performance.
The Someone Like You singer quickly recovered and was seen moshing with the rest of the crowd to a Britpop revival of Song 2, Girls and Boys and Parklife. What a night.
