The top of Byres Road was where Colin MacIntyre first settled on the name Mull Historical Society ten years ago.
Now, with two lauded albums in his own name under his belt , he has returned to his alter ego and to his adopted former home to launch a new MHS album, City Awakenings - a tribute to Glasgow, London and New York.
Recorded in different locations with Grammy-award winning producer Dom Morley, Colin tells how it just felt right to return to the MHS fold.
Speaking to STV ahead of his much anticipated Celtic Connections Friday night headlining show at the 02 ABC, the Muilleach also tells STV how Glasgow still feels like a second home.
Colin is due to be accompained for tonight's show by fellow MHS collaborators Fiona Shannon on keyboards, Sorren Maclean on bass, and Ross MacFarlane on drums.
MHS are being supported by well-regarded city based indie outfit Washington Irving, whose Indie-folk has been compared with outfits as varied as The Band and The Waterboys.
