Some of the best up-and-coming Scottish musical talent has been announced for Highland festival Belladrum’s goNORTH Seedlings Stage, including The Leonard Jones Potential, The River 68’s, Capitals, Be Like Pablo and Endor.

What the jazz-funk: The Leonard Jones Potential are bringing upbeat sounds to Belladrum

Some of the best up-and-coming Scottish musical talent has been announced for Highland festival Belladrum’s goNORTH Seedlings Stage, including The Leonard Jones Potential, The River 68’s, Capitals, Be Like Pablo and Endor.

The hugely popular festival, which is already sold out of weekend tickets, takes place near Beauly in Inverness-shire on Friday August 5 and Saturday August 6 and is this year headlined by Texas and Deacon Blue.

Music conference goNorth, which has showcased Scottish talent, has been based in Inverness for several years now and has been responsible for programming the stage.

The line-up for the goNORTH Seedlings Stage 2011 is as follows:

goNORTH Director Shaun Arnold said: “Belladrum is a fantastic platform for new bands and year on year delivers a diverse, highly inventive festival experience.

“The wider line up again looks excellent and it’s a real privilege to be programming the dedicated new music stage for 2011.”

Festival booker Joe Gibbs added: “We are delighted to be deepening our involvement still further with GoNorth this year, in that they have booked the majority of the acts on the goNORTH Seedlings Stage.

“The acts that they have programmed are the cream of local, Scottish and wider UK talent and we look forward to them playing in front of the Bella audience, one of the best audiences in the world.”
