The BRIT Awards 2011 kicked off with a bang as Take That gave a riotous performance of new track Kidz, proving they were worthy winners of the best British Group.
James Corden, in his role as host, handled proceedings well adding just enough humour to keep the show flowing.
Tinie Tempah and Arcade Fire were the big winners on the night, both taking two awards.
Rihanna was delighted to receive the award for International Female Solo Artist from a very excited Cheryl Cole.
The stunning star also proved a hit when she performed a raunchy medley of her latest tracks, including risqué number S&M which she sang in her underwear! Justin Bieber wouldn’t have known where to look.
Speaking of Bieber fever, the teen heartthrob won Best International Breakthrough Act and on his way to the stage grabbed a quick smooth from none other than Chezza Cole. He was clearly embracing his BRITs experience!
Adele gave one of the standout performances of the night when she performed a moving rendition of Someone Like You.
Cee Lo Green and Paloma Faith rounded off the show with an interesting version of Forget You… one they may want to forget! Missed the show? Check out the full list of winners here.
