Olly Murs can’t wait to hear the Hampden roar at Scotland gig

Xtra Factor presenter Olly Murs can’t wait to get on stage in Glasgow and hear the legendary Hampden Roar, when he plays the stadium next summer alongside his good friend Robbie Williams.

Olly will support Robbie on his Take The Crown stadium tour in 2013, including the Scottish dates on June 25 and 26, where they will sing for 100,000 fans.

And Olly says he can hardly wait for what is set to be a legendary couple of nights.

“I love coming up to Scotland, I’ve got a great fan base there and the gigs at Hampden are going to have a belting party atmosphere,” Olly told The Sun.

“It’s going to be great fun on both nights.” He added: “The thing is, I’m a massive football fan so it’s going to be mad playing in these stadiums.”

Robbie and Olly became firm friends when they teamed up for a rousing rendition of Angels on the X Factor final in 2009, and have remained close ever since then.

Now Troublemaker singer Olly – who presents the Xtra Factor alongside holding down a successful music career – is gearing up for months of touring with his new BFF.

“It’s great to have him [Robbie] as a mate. He’s in my phonebook and I cant talk to him when I want. He’s the best guy to have around as he’s been there and done it all.

“I won’t think too much about what I need to do for his tour. I will just go out there and do what I do best – I’ll do the songs that have been hits and I’ll put on a really good show for our fans.

“I’ll enjoy it, I won’t think too much about the pressure of being Robbie’s special guest – it’s a big job but I’m looking forward to delivering.”
