stv.tv caught up with Tinchy Stryder ahead of his performance at O2’s Think Big show in Glasgow this week.
The Think Big tour recognises and celebrates young people throughout the UK who have taken part in over 2,000 youth-led O2 Think Big projects and Tinchy was proud to be a part of such an inspiring initiative.
He said: “I think it’s all positive. When I heard about it and someone explained how everything had been put together, about giving someone opportunities, especially young people, I hope someone like me can give people that drive and inspiration to show that it can be done.”
Tinchy also admitted he was delighted to be back in Scotland as he “really, really loves it in Glasgow.”
Aside from constantly being in the studio and expanding his business empire, the rap star does occasionally find time to watch TV, and he likes nothing better than catching up on The X Factor.
His favourite act this year? Tinchy is backing one of his good friend Tulisa’s Girls, as he explained: “The last time I watched it I liked Ella. She’s wicked. She really grabs you with her voice.”
He also said he had missed Gary Barlow and Tulisa’s ‘fag ash breath’ spat at the weekend, but insisted as long as Gary was joking everything was fine. Don’t mess with Tinchy!
The star is a big football supporter and spoke about his love for Rangers and whether or not he might invest in the club… You can watch the full interview with Tinchy in the player above.
