Susan Boyle’s life has changed dramatically since she won Britain’s Got Talent last year. Now, the singer has given ambulance medic, Amber Stassi, a shot at fame by selecting her for a duet on her forthcoming album.

Susan launched an online talent competition called Susan’s Search where she invited wannabe singers to upload videos of themselves performing Silent Night.

Stassi was selected from thousands of entrants as Susan felt her warm, gentle voice complimented her own style.

The BGT star called the New York mum-of-three from her humble Blackburn home to give her the exciting news.

Susan revealed: "I really wanted to give someone the opportunity I had."

Amber will now have her voice heard by millions of Su-Bo fans expected to by the star’s second album.

Congratulations Amber!

I feel it's a great choice. Amber can be heard singing on a few clips on her myspace page:

It is so refreshing that Susan wants to give a chance to another deserving aspiring singer.

I don't think Amber has the greatest voice in the world, but I hope all goes well with her when she sings the duet with Susan.

I'm happy for Amber. That was a really nice thing for Susan Boyle to do, and I hope that Amber has a blast doing it.

I hope it's the only duet though. Call me selfish but I just want to hear Susan Boyle's voice on her next CD.

It was a great competition (I entered it myself) and had the good fortune to meet a lot of lovely people. I have also contacted Amber who is a very nice lady and a deserved winner. Would love her to duet with Susan my song The Journey one day. All the very best to her and hope her stay in London is welcoming.
