When Stephen Gately died, Boyzone said they didn’t even know if they would ever go on stage again. But, today, they have announced a full UK tour starting February 2011.

The remaining four band members, who have just got to the top of the album charts with Brother, made their live comeback last night during a special tribute show.

The show is available on the STV player here.

Ronan Keating said: “There was a time when the lads and I didn't know whether we would ever get back up on stage together again.

“We just didn't know whether we could do it as a four-piece. We played three tracks live at the Albert Hall a couple of weeks ago and the reception was just unbelievable.

“We all came off stage buzzing, knowing that we had the full support of the fans, and it all just suddenly felt so right. We can't wait to get back on the road together.”

Stephen Gately died in October of natural causes in Majorca.

The group – Ronan plus Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch – have revealed that the Brother Tour live shows are something of a tribute to Stephen.
