Susan Boyle: enjoys a holy encounter Pic: Rex Features
Susan Boyle formed her love of singing when she sang in her local church choir at Our Lady of Lourdes in Blackburn.
Since taking part in Britain’s Got Talent last year, Susan has become a global success and she has had the fastest selling debut album of all time. Throughout the ups and downs of such a dramatic life change, Ms Boyle has sought comfort in her religion and last weekend, she was delighted to meet religious singing trio, The Priests.
Susan performed I Dreamed a Dream on a German TV show that The Priests were also appearing on and the lovely gents were just as delighted to meet the Scottish singing star.
Father Eugene O’Hagan even took to Twitter to express his joy at the encounter.
He said it had been a “pleasure “for him, his brother Fr Martin and Fr David Delgary to meet Susan.
Susan’s spokesperson told the Daily Record: “Fathers Martin, Eugene and David had expressed an interest in meeting Susan.
“As soon as she arrived, Susan walked around their dressing room and met the group – possibly the nicest men in showbiz. They chatted for some time.”
Susan herself said: “It was a very quick visit – but worth it.”
