Rubber band: JLS care about safe sex.
JLS – famous for being ladies’ men – have launched their own condoms. They want fans to take safe sex seriously.
The band reckon the contraceptives will be called Just Love Safe.
When they burst on to the pop scene they revealed that JLS stood for Jack the Lad Swing.
Condom giant Durex approached the band – Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold, Oritse Williams and Jonathan ‘JB’ Gill – after they had joked about safe sex in The Sun.
Aston had said: “It's all about staying safe. My mum sends me down a stash (of condoms) and I dish them out to the lads so none of us have to worry"
The boys – who are all single – are going to match the shade of the rubber to their colour.
Part of their band personality was to have a different colour.
A friend of the band told The Sun: “The lads mentioned the idea of a Just Love Safe campaign in passing.
”It was a light-hearted joke at the time but management and Durex have had conversations about making it happen.”
JLS have since landed two No1 singles and a No1 album - as well as their own six-week sell-out tour.
