The T in the Park 2010 line-up has been announced and amongst major artists including Muse, Eminem and Kasabian, a host of Scottish acts will take to the stage to showcase the best in home-grown talent.

Leading the way is Paolo Nutini who has enjoyed phenomenal success with his second album Sunny Side Up. Following his recent ‘intimate’ gig at King Tuts, Paolo spoke about playing on the main stage at T and revealed it is always a pleasure to play to the home crowd.

Also fresh from helping King Tuts celebrate their 20th birthday, rockers Biffy Clyro will perform. The festival has a special place in their hearts as the band were discovered playing the T Break stage at T in the Park 2000, by a Beggars Banquet representative who then went on to sign them. Having played many times since, the Biffy boys have become T favourites and their stadium worthy songs are sure to be one of the highlights at this year’s event.

Another familiar face at T in the Park is man of the moment Calvin Harris, who will bring his touch of dance magic to the fields of Balado.

Dundee lads The View will also play the festival, hopefully housed in a tent where their riotous sets have become a legendary part of T in the Park.

For those looking for a good sing-along. The Proclaimers are set to perform and T in the Park organiser, Geoff Ellis, himself admitted this would be one of the highlights of the weekend.

T in the Park has been key in supporting and providing a platform for Scottish music and this year will be no different as the T Break stage will once again be a key part of the festival. Scottish stars of the future will be given the chance to showcase their talent and follow in the footsteps of big acts like Biffy and The View who have risen through the ranks.
