An artist so respected that Peter Kay joked the Queen curtseyed to her, Shirley Bassey was on hand to present the Best British Female Solo Artist.
She revealed she'd won it back in 1977, but who would win this year?
The nominees were Lily Allen, Pixie Lott, Florence and the Machine, Bat for Lashes and Leona Lewis.
Shirley revealed: "And the winner is... Lily Allen."
Apparently she slagged off the BRITs three years ago after a lack of nominations, but not this year, oh no!
And then again, who hasn't she slagged off, when you think about it?
Lily was bewigged with some strange peroxide orange do, and exclaimed "Wow!" on getting to the podium.
"This doesn't happen very often to me," she said, before that familiar reeling off of people to thank.
And would she thank the family and her boyfriend? Of course she would. Job done.
