Canadian pop star Justin Bieber created hysteria after rocking up at Bellshill Academy in North Lanarkshire on Thursday, to perform at a specially arranged gig.
The 15-year-old star was appearing at the school after 12-year-old pupil Abbie Milligan won a contest run by Radio Clyde, to have the singer perform for her and 39 other first-year pupils.
The students couldn’t believe their luck when the singer – who has had huge success in America and Canada, and is fast becoming hot property in the UK – appeared to entertain them instead of their scheduled maths class.
The star, who has even performed for President Barack Obama, and counts Taylor Swift and Usher among his personal friends, said he was pleased to be in Scotland to perform at the school.
Justin performed three of the songs from his debut album, My World, which is out in the UK on January 18 including Favourite Girl, Baby, and One Time, which is currently at number 14 in the UK charts.
He also answered questions from Clyde 1’s Romeo, as well as from Abbie herself, who was delighted to see her idol in person.
