Teenage singing sensation Justin Bieber put a massive smile on the faces of 40 Scottish school pupils after performing at Bellshill Academy in North Lanarkshire today.
The session, which was set up by Radio Clyde’s In Demand, took place on Thursday, January 14, after lucky 12-year-old Abbie Milligan won the chance to have the star perform at her school.
The crowd went wild for the 15-year-old singer as he entertained them with a range of his hits including Favourite Girl, One Time and Baby.
And Justin certainly seemed to enjoy performing for the pupils too, telling stv.tv: “I had a great time (today) and I definitely plan to come back to Scotland soon.”
Justin was discovered after he posted YouTube videos of himself singing songs by artists such as Chris Brown and Justin Timberlake online.
Before long, music business insiders had noticed he had something special, he was flown to Georgia to meet with R&B star Usher, and he was swiftly signed up to Island Records.
Since then he’s performed alongside a number of big names – and has even performed for President Barack Obama!
He also counts Usher and country star Taylor Swift among his personal friends, but the Canadian teen refuses to let that or anything else go to his head. He told stv.tv's Gill Harvey: “It’s a lot of fun getting the opportunity to perform for the President, it’s definitely an honour. (As for) staying humble - I have a great support system, I have great friends and family surrounding me.”
