DragonForce have confirmed their plans for 2010, and while taking a break from touring the band are set to be far from idle, with plans for a double live CD, re-issues of their first two albums as well as working on their next studio album.

Speaking to STV's John Kilbride shortly before the band took to the stage at Glasgow's O2 ABC venue, guitarist Herman Li confirmed a double live CD and re-issues were in the pipeline.

Bass player Frederic Leclercq said: "Next year we're going to be recording, composing first, and then recording, next year is just studio time."

Herman added: "Apart from that we've got the re-release of the first two albums, Sonic Firestorm with a bonus DVD and bonus tracks on it.

"And also hopefully we'll get the live album out that we're recording in the UK and after a while finish recording the new album."

Concerning the re-issues, he explained: "We re-mixed the first album, so it's not just a repackage, we remixed the whole album and included a bonus track that wasn't released before and there's live footage.

"The video footage on the DVDs that come with those albums was made at the time, it's not us now, it was recorded then, on that tour and at those moments so it makes it kind of special so people should check it out."

As for the live album, Herman explained: "We are still trying to work out the set list. We changed the songs around on this tour so we can get all kind of songs so we can throw them in, maybe one song from Glasgow, one from Manchester, we're going to mix the set list from different parts of the country."

"We've got songs from all the albums, we play songs from all the albums even on stage now so we're going to swap different songs, so it's going to be a double CD package.
