Epic Scottish indie-rock troupe The Twilight Sad, described as “nothing short of mesmerising” and “Dark, brilliant, and very much untamed” by the music press, have released a video for latest single Seven Years Of Letters - which you can watch here.
The single is taken from second album Forget The Night Ahead, which has been hailed as a darker set than its epic, sweeping predecessor Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters.
Guitarist Andy MacFarlane said: “We have definitely moved on from Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters, musically and lyrically.
“It is a step forward from the first record, the song writing and the sound of the band has moved on from that time, which is something we'll always try and do, we don't want to ever stand still and make records that sound like each other.”
The Kilsyth quartet have recently toured with label-mates and friends Frightened Rabbit, who are also based in Glasgow.
They've also announced a pair of intimate Scottish shows at Edinburgh’s Voodoo Rooms on December 15 and Glasgow’s Nice N Sleazy on December 16, both of which sold out soon after going on sale.
Their next scheduled show in their home country is on April 2 at the ABC in Glasgow, and you can buy tickets here.
