The Homecoming Live event, which is highlighting Scotland’s rich musical heritage and bright future, has added hotly tipped acts Pearl and the Puppets, Twilight Sad and Alex Gardner to an already packed bill.

Taking place at the SECC on Saturday November 28, the new additions join The View, Teenage Fanclub, King Creosote, Idlewild, The Dykeenies, The Vaselines, Twin Atlantic , Codeine Velvet Club and The Law for the big-name bash.

The event also hosts icons Deacon Blue, The Skids, Hue & Cry , Lloyd Cole , Midge Ure, Tommy Reilly,  Mike Scott, Eddi Reader, Evelyn Glennie & Philip Smith and Dougie MacLean.

Pearl and the Puppets have supported Elton John in the past and have been tipped for big things in the future.

Front woman Katie Sutherland said: “I'm very excited and look forward to playing at Homecoming Live. I'm honored to be part of it as the line-up is fantastic”.

Twilight Sad are a critically lauded indie band signed to acclaimed label FatCat Records.  They have supported the likes of Idlewild and The Smashing Pumpkins and second album, Forget the Night Ahead, was released in September to much praise.

Meanwhile, Alex Gardner is an Edinburgh musician who has just come off a tour with Scottish sensation Paolo Nutini.

Homecoming Live promises to be a unique celebration that will see Scotland’s largest indoor venue, the SECC, transformed as it plays host to an array of homegrown talent as well as the best in Scottish food and drink.

Overall the event will see a cross-section of acts across genres play together under one roof, catering for an array of musical ages and tastes.  Gig-goers can purchase tickets that either allow access to one hall or a pass that allows access to various halls.

Tickets are on sale now, and available via www.ticketmaster.co.uk and www.ticketsoup.com
