Singer Michael Bublé has said that he couldn’t initially understand the massive fuss that surrounded Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle.
Bublé – who appeared on this weekend’s X Factor to mentor the contestants – admitted that he was “cynical” about the Blackburn performer, because he hadn’t seen the episode of the show in which she wowed the crowds with her voice.
But he now seems to have been caught up in the hype, and has said that Susan’s journey to success is a “beautiful story” and that he would like to work with the “lovely” singer.
He told the Daily Express: "I was cynical and critical because I had never seen her in that first show where she comes up and says, 'I want to be a singer' and the audience looks at her and says, 'Oh please!' I got goosebumps.
"I'm going to go when this record comes out and buy 20 copies... because what a beautiful story of an underdog.
”It gives me faith in the human condition that we still have that kind of feeling that we actually want the good guy to win.”
The singer - who said Susan’s talent is more than “just a flash in the pan” - added: "It killed me. It really is a beautiful, beautiful story."
